G. Burlamacchi S.a.s. is a third generation family owned company with a long tradition in servicing foreign buyers within the Italian Market, in the field of home furnishings and accessories and gift items of high standard, or in fact anything produced in Italy not in large industrial scale.
 
In 1927 Gualtiero Burlamacchi began representing in Italy important companies based in New York. Later on his widow Giulia and then his son Maurizio successfully continued expanding the business. Today Patrizia Burlamacchi, daughter of Maurizio, is Managing the Office.
 
It may be appropriate to mention that the Burlamacchis have been a merchant family in the city of Lucca, since 1220.
Out of Lucca the Burlamacchisdealt through branch family firms established in Sicily, Marseille, Lyon, Paris, London, Amsterdam.
 
In Lucca the Burlamacchis produced fine silks, brocades, and velvets, often interwoven with gold or silver thread; they were also a banking family and at one time run into misfortune by lending funds to the Crown of England early in the 17th century.
The Burlamacchi manufacturing activity in Lucca ceased in 1890, and nevertheless members of the family continued in business to the present day.
